Digital Artwork

Space Stations Thumb

As part of my course at CDW studios and as a part of some of my uni course work, I have produced several pieces of digital artwork. These pictures are some examples of my work, which are generally drawn quickly and partly done with photo compositions or bases for generating quick ideas.

Digital Speed-Paintings

Space Stations Thumb

All of the images in this gallery have been done in 30 minutes or less using no photos or photo-textures. I have used these as a self teaching tool to play with different painting techniques and styles the topics for which are randomly generated by a large group on facebook called Daily Spitpaint which as the title suggests, promotes this type of learning.

Relay for Life Promotional Video

Space Stations Thumb

All copyright has been non-exclusively released to the Cancer Council of South Australia as they have helped me a lot in this process.
Made using roughly 16 GB of footage comprising of nearly 400 photos and 4 hours of video which I edited, deleted and cut back down to just 1m:40s. The video was made with Adobe After Effects CS5, utilizing Video CoPilot's free plugin Sure Target 2 for the text effects.
Music and Sound Effects were made in Apple's GarageBand.

Short Movie 'Hard Rubbish'

Space Stations Thumb

"Hard Rubbish" is the name of a short film I acted and edited for a University Assignment, shooting was done in one 8 hour period.
It took me several sessions to edit and add the required effects, approximately 40-50 hours of work. Each extra 'me' in the film represents a large workload as I cut out the figure frame by frame before adding effects and overlaying it back into the final scene.
Small note: the TV is only ever switched on in the first quick shot where I press the button, the rest was done in post.

Battlefield 3 Music Montage

Space Stations Thumb

Back in October last year (2012) I set myself a challenge to play / record one game of BattleField 3 (on PC) and then turn the footage into a small montage set to music I found from a seemingly undiscovered artist called X Kore.
